Anjaneya’s Command

Lord Panchamukhi Anjaneya Swamy is the guardian deity of this site. This is the message given for Sri Sathya Sai Kuteer — the instruction that everything here follows.

The message of the guardian deity

“I, who maintain that every action in life is a form of spiritual practice, urge you all to build these Kutirs.”

Through public service, spiritual teachings, and collective spiritual practices, strive to pave the way for a noble life defined by sacrifice, and to establish peace and happiness in society. In a sense, this is not merely an Ashram — a hermitage — but a true Aashrayam: a sanctuary, a refuge.

I am the very centre and the source of strength for the Annapurnalaya, the Mandir, and all the other facilities here. This place is not just a father's lap or a sanctum of affection; it is also a great school of equality and of love.

If, upon leaving Me, you were to say, ‘Swami, I could not stay with You this time,’ the answer from Me — without a moment's hesitation — must be: ‘You were with Me all along; you were constantly chanting My Name.’

You must come to Puttaparthi and engage in spiritual practice within the Kutir in such a way that this truth is realised. Whenever you contemplate My Name in your mind, you attain My presence.

I am seated here in these Kutirs, fully prepared to serve you the bounty of grace. Transcending the boundaries of time and space, I wish to bring fulfilment to the lives of so many people here. Experience contentment, peace and joy in My divine presence.

I, Anjaneya — whose resolve is unfailing — offer this opportunity to you all, and grant you the courage to make the most of it.

Every activity described elsewhere on this site — the meals, the camps, the water, the classes, the food left out for the monkeys — exists because of these words.

New commands, as short films

Anjaneya’s commands continue to be received. They are posted as Shorts on the Kuteer’s YouTube channel, added regularly, and free to watch.
