Puttaparthi · Established 2017
Every act of life,
performed as worship.
Sri Sathya Sai Kuteer is a spiritual centre and public charitable trust where the fire ritual at dawn and the meal carried to a lonely elder at noon are understood to be the same practice.
Welcome to the Kuteer
Not merely an Ashram, but a true Aashrayam — a refuge.
In January 2017, Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba instructed Mata Vishwatmananda Giri to build a Kuteer at Puttaparthi — a place, He said, where thousands of seekers would come to practise. Lord Panchamukhi Anjaneya Swamy is its Kshetrapalaka, its guardian deity.
The Kuteer was inaugurated on 24 December 2017, on Christmas Day. What has grown here since is deliberately ordinary: food cooked and carried, eyes examined, water drawn, children taught, monkeys fed. Work done in a way that respects every faith and looks past caste and creed — because the instruction we were given was that this, precisely this, is the spiritual practice.

2017
Inaugurated on 24 December, and serving without a break since.

What we do
Six streams of service
Each runs to its own rhythm — some daily, some on the 23rd of every month, one that never closes at all.

Daily · 5th, 11th and 23rd
Narayana Seva
A freshly cooked lunch carried to around 55 elderly and destitute people every single day — and to some 1,200 guests on the 23rd of every month.

A day at the Kuteer
The daily rhythm
Visitors are welcome at any of it. Nothing here is ticketed, and nothing requires an introduction.
Early morning
Abhishekam
A fifteen-minute ritual bathing of the Salagrama, with the Abhisheka mantras and the Shiva Stotras.
9:00 AM
Geetha Homam
A forty-five minute fire ritual — Daivagna Hotra mantras, one chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, and the Gayatri of many deities. Anyone may join.
Midday
Narayana Seva
Lunch cooked in the Kuteer kitchen, packed into carriers and delivered to around 55 elderly and destitute people.
Through the day
Stotra Parayanam
The chanting of hymns, continuing alongside the work — because at the Kuteer the work is not separate from the worship.
