In detail

What those numbers were made of

Each figure above is the sum of a service performed on a schedule — most of them daily, the rest on the 23rd of the month.

01

Daily and monthly Narayana Seva

  • Lunch served to around 55 underprivileged, elderly and destitute people every day, across Puttaparthi town and the surrounding villages.
  • Once a month, on the 23rd, this expands to roughly 1,200 people at the Kuteer premises.
  • Snacks are provided to the tuition children on every class day, and free drinking water is available around the clock.
  • Vanara Seva is performed twice weekly, feeding the monkey troops in the areas around Puttaparthi.
